Alfresco : Outdoor Kitchen Design
Lockdown has lifted and we can finally invite some guests over… !!
It’s been the busiest few weeks for us here at home, tidying, sorting, styling all ahead of a magazine shoot - all a good incentive to get our outdoor space finished. Inclusive of a green egg, reclaimed dining table, corner (sheltered) seating and outdoor kitchen. But in true Instagram form, don’t ever think it’s all sunshine & barbecues - it took many talented people to pull together this beautiful outdoor kitchen design. Special shout out to @castandpolish for our handsome concrete worksurface - we also mirrored the same colour and finish as a top for the dining table.
And of course Sam @ovens_sam for fine tuning our vision of a homely, workable outdoor space for our family. The planting is spot on, and something we will no doubt admire as the seasons change.
We went for single variety of grass Anemanthele, which is great as it is evergreen and provides year round interest and will take coastal winds and shade. For the side area a mix of Polystichum munitum, Asplenium and Euphorbia Pesteurii to create something quite lush and jungly. Corner seating is from John Lewis, and the outdoor rug & cushions are made from recyclable plastic by Weaver Green.
